CIVL Radio 101.7 FM is proud to announce that every Thursday starting August 25th, our very own DJ’s Johnny K, The Vinyl Spinner, and Rasta Reuben Kwabena will DJ at Cheers Bar and Grill, where University of the Fraser Valley students, faculty, and staff with valid ID receive 10% off 7 days a week!
Saturdays come for some of the hottest music in the mainland with a very special guest DJ CIVL is pleased to be able to roll out to Abbotfordians for the first time!
CIVL is also very excited to show you excerpts from two half hour features put together by Close Look on Shaw Channel 4 Sundays at 1pm and Mondays at 5 am, and Shaw Multicultural Channel 116 at 9 am.
Close Look won the Innovative Initiative Award at the Fraser Valley Cultural Diversity Awards back in March of this year, when CIVL Radio also won the award for Outreach. CIVL and Close Look have developed a working relationship since then, and CIVL Radio was featured in it’s own half hour episode of Close Look last month, as well as having invited Close Look to come to Jam in Jubilee, which wrapped up last week!
