Amplify Your Community Topping Out Over 12k!

CIVL Radio is pleased to report that though pledges are still coming in, and the count goes on, after a $700 + silent auction, a sold out Gala event at The Reach Gallery and Museum with You Say Party, Oh No! Yoko, Little Wild, The New Atlas, Casey Ambrose and The Parish of Little Clifton, as well as our #CIVLBattle, Punjabi Poetry Reading at the Khalsa Diwan Society, and the very first CIVL Drive-In Movie heard live on 101.7 FM, we’ve demolished our stretch goal of $10,000, and as of today have cruised over the $12,000 mark in funds raised to Amplify Your Community!

Stay tuned to hear what’s next on the docket for CIVL 101.7 FM and our plans to move on from here in Amplifying Your Community and rocking the new school year!

BANDS! Last Chance to Apply for the Battle of the Valley before April 22nd!

We are upping the ante, and topping up the first prize L&M certificate to $800. Thanks to all our sponsors. Here is a little more on what you could win besides fame.

First prize:

Tractorgrease Multimedia has operated out of it’s current location for 5 years. They are a recording/video studio and offer live event production providing lights, sound, and stages. They are offering 3 live videos for the winning band. A $2000 value.

Jayme Anne Photography has worked with many known local bands and artists such as Dan Mangan, Jordan Klassen, You Say Party!, First Reign, and a hand full of other Vancouver talent. Jayme is offering a 2 hour photoshoot, with two locations. 10 – 15 high resolution edited photos will be given on a disk 1 – 2 weeks after photoshoot date.

Five Acres Studio is a professional recording studio out on the farm in Bradner. Five Acres will provide the mastering of 6 songs to the winning band.

CIVL Launches the Fraser Valley Battle of the Bands! Apply before April 22nd!

CIVL Radio is pleased to announce it’s first ever Fraser Valley Battle of the Bands! Bands of all genres, ages, and addresses are welcome to apply to compete in a Fraser Valley free-for-all, judged by a CIVL panel, that can win them great prizes like free recording time, other production services, photo shoots, and gear!
